This works well, properly marketed in the offline, brick and mortar world. So how about translating that into online sales?

What About Online Second Hand Shops?

Can you source good quality, used products for use in ecommerce? Lots of people are searching for brand names, like Abercrombie and American Eagle, online. This includes looking for websites in the search engines, or even EBay and other auction sellers. So how about if you kick in with the great deal deal on gently used.

Since so many of us started online by cleaning out our own closests, this is such a natural leap. But it is a leap that most people miss. It is actually much simpler than buying new items in bulk. You can probably put out the word, and have plenty to buy in your own neighborhood.

Most offline thrift stores sell brand name clothes, for example, at about a third of the new price. They pay sellers about a third of that. So that Abercrombie blouse that sells for $42 new, night go for $15 used. And it is probably purchased for about $5.

But consider that offline stores have a lot more overhead than you will. So you may be able to pay a bit more and sell for a bit less. The important thing is to do your reseach, which is really easy to do with resources like EBay completed items. Also remember, you must charge for shipping. But that is probably a lot cheaper than hiring employees and paying rent on a building.
